Vote For Joshua Williams

My Bio

For years, I have served our hometown as a volunteer, first responder, and community member. Now, I believe it is time to take that service one step further. I am ready to go across the hall at City Hall and work for a better future for our community.

My Key Issues

Transparency

I want to work with our Police Department to ensure crime statistics are recorded accurately and made easily available to both longtime residents and those considering making Three Rivers their home.

I also want to see more regular communication from the City. When our city succeeds and our first responders do great work, our community deserves to hear about it. When the City falls short, we should be just as willing to acknowledge it.

Transparency means celebrating our successes while also being open about where we can improve. Hiding our mistakes does not solve our problems. Being honest about them allows us to recognize our needs, address them, and build a stronger community.

Financial Responsibility

Three Rivers is a growing city, but growth does not mean we should blindly follow what works for neighboring communities. We need to make decisions based on what works best for Three Rivers and the people who call it home.

I want to take a hard look at how our city operates, including reviewing the responsibilities of city employees to ensure our resources are being used effectively. I also want to review job titles and positions to promote efficiency, clear responsibilities, and accountability.

City contracts should also be regularly reviewed to ensure taxpayers are receiving the best value for their money. Financial responsibility is about more than cutting costs. It is about asking questions, evaluating our priorities, and making sure every tax dollar is being spent wisely for the benefit of our community.

Community Involvement

A strong community starts with residents who feel heard and know their voices matter. I want to work directly with residents to better identify the priorities and needs of our community. Local government works best when people are informed, involved, and comfortable sharing their ideas and concerns.

I also want to encourage greater citizen participation in local government and create more opportunities for residents to have a voice in the decisions that affect them.

Three Rivers is fortunate to have many local organizations and nonprofits already working hard to serve our community. I want the City to build stronger partnerships with these groups so we can better understand the needs of our residents, support the work already being done, and find practical ways to strengthen our community together.
